Hello and welcome to the Guardian’s coverage of the total solar eclipse, which will traverse across the Pacific Ocean, through Mexico, the US and Canada and end over the Atlantic Ocean on Monday.
The total solar eclipse will be visible along a “path of totality” that will measure about 115 miles (185km) wide and extend across the continent.
