Have you ever been to Taylor Town? You know it: it’s the place the Beatles came from. The one where you can catch a ferry across the Mersey – home to iconic football stadiums Goodison Park and Anfield, the latter of which is played in by, I think, Taylorpool FC? Oh wait, no: it’s Liverpool, isn’t it?
Frankly, you could be forgiven for making that mistake, given that the place has become so excited by Taylor Swift’s upcoming gigs there that they’ve decked the city in “Liverpool Loves Taylor” posters, created an 11-installation art trail featuring grand pianos, thrones and “hand-crafted seagulls”, as well as renaming the entire city after the star.
