France’s sports minister has warned against making the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris a scapegoat for people’s anger and frustration over social problems.
Amélie Oudéa-Castéra was speaking after rows over the high cost of tickets for the Games and suggestions that homeless people were to be moved out of the city to make way for budget hotels to rent rooms to sports fans and tourists.
