‘I’m going to grab it by the plums’: Nedd Brockmann embarks on latest epic run

Australian aims for world record by running 1,000 miles in 10 daysHe will have to complete 403 laps of an athletics track each day

Celebrity runner Nedd Brockmann is embarking on his latest challenge on Thursday as the Australian attempts to break the world record for the shortest time taken to run 1,000 miles, or 1,609 kilometres.

The man who captured the attention the country when he ran across Australia two years ago will tackle the challenge without leaving Sydney. Rather, he plans to run 403 laps of the track the Olympic Park Athletic Centre in Homebush each day.
