Homebuyers in Victoria will save tens of thousands of dollars in stamp duty on off-the-plan apartments, townhouses and units bought in the next 12 months, under a state government initiative aimed at stimulating development.
The premier, Jacinta Allan, on Monday announced the policy, which came into effect immediately and was open to all buyers – including investors – for properties at any price point.
