French actor, accused of assaulting two women during film shoot, asks for trial to be postponed for health reasons
The French actor Gérard Depardieu, whose trial on sexual assault charges was scheduled to start in Paris on Monday, has asked for a delay for health reasons, his lawyer has said.
“Gérard Depardieu is extremely affected and unfortunately his doctors have forbidden him from being present at the hearing, which is why he will ask for a postponement to a later date so that he can attend,” Jérémie Assous told Franceinfo.
