Only a couple of hours after completing his victory at the Vienna Open, Jack Draper was moving on to Paris where he hit the ground running in the final Masters 1000 event of the year, gradually finding his range throughout a tight opening set before imposing himself on Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic. He eventually moved into the second round of the with a clinical 7-5, 6-2 win.
The Paris draw did not provide Draper with an opportunity to ease into the tournament, however, as the 22-year-old Lehecka is a talented young player in his own right, a clean, destructive shotmaker who has established himself inside the top 30.
