Plus: in the final edition of Hear Here, we round up five of the best experimental podcasts, and five more to keep you thinking
If time flies when you’re having fun, then creating this newsletter is a blast. Nearly two-and-a-half years of writing these intros has disappeared in the blink of an eye, and today marks Hear Here’s final edition. Don’t worry – we’ll still have great podcast recommendations for you in the shape of The Guide, which (if you’re not signed up already) you will start receiving every Friday from next week. And you can still get the familiar podcast picks every week in a new format: online and in print in the Saturday Guardian’s What’s On supplement. Although, you will now get them without me wittering on for a couple of hundred words beforehand – so at least there’s an upside.
Before I leave you for the last time, there’s the small matter of the excellent podcasts we have for you this week. And, in the coming weeks, look out for our list of the finest podcasts of the year, an annual labour of love that we’d love you to check out. On that note, I’ll say my farewells. Time, it seems, has flown again.
