Spain’s Aitana Bonmati and Mariona Caldentey have spoken about their struggles and said they are looking forward to focusing on football after weeks of controversy following their World Cup victory. ‘We weren´t getting enough sleep, we couldn’t rest well, we suffered from stress and anxiety,’ said Bonmati. ‘Things are getting more calm eventually and now we’re 100% focused on football.’ The players also spoke about their desire to leave a legacy for women going forward. ‘This is a global fight and all the women and players own it,’ said Caldentey
