The workplace relations minister, Tony Burke, has used the recommended ban of engineered stone benchtops to urge state governments to “take action” to keep workers safe.
Burke on Friday confirmed that a leaked report by Safe Work Australia, commissioned by state and federal workplace ministers earlier this year, called for a blanket ban on engineered stone.
