Goalkeeper on loan from Chelsea plays in seventh tierEngland face New Caledonia, Iran and Brazil in Group C
Hashtag United, the seventh-tier team that began competing in matches in an imaginary league uploaded to YouTube, lay claim to one of the players named in England’s squad for the Under-17 World Cup this month.
The goalkeeper Ted Curd, who is on loan at Hashtag from Chelsea, is an eye-catching call-up in a squad that consists of youngsters playing across elite academies, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham among those represented. Curd, who joined Chelsea as an under-nine, signed on loan for the Isthmian League Premier Division side in September.
