CCTV footage shows the moment burglars broke into the South African Rugby Union’s headquarters and touched the recently won World Cup trophy before walking away. In footage shared on X by the South African journalist Yusuf Abramjee, one of the burglars puts his gloved hand on the trophy and lifts it slightly, before moving to the cupboards beneath it. Leaving the trophy behind, the intruders instead stole whisky, five signed Springbok jerseys and eight laptops.
