Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp have played down the Manchester City manager’s full-time confrontation with Darwin Núñez, the Liverpool striker, after the two seemed to clash after the final whistle. ‘No, it is not frustration for that. I am really pleased,’ said Guardiola. ‘Nothing happened.’ Klopp was forced to restrain the Uruguayan but denied the incident had anything to do with the rivalry between the two sides. ‘This situation after the game has nothing to do with a historical fierce rivalry. I do not think Darwin Núñez knows anything about that.’
