Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has insisted that Erik ten Hag has the full support of the squad as he looked ahead to United’s potentially season-defining Champions League Group A match against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford. Ten Hag has been criticised for United’s inconsistent performances so far this season, having won nine and lost seven out of 16 Premier League matches. ‘The boys are firmly behind the manager and that’s the be-all and end-all,’ McTominay said. ‘It’s not just a case of some of the other managers [in the past] where it’s been a little bit toxic at times.’
