Australia’s most senior federal police officer has insisted at a Senate estimates hearing that his relationship with a PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) partner is strictly professional after a dozen or so friendly messages between the two were publicly released.
It comes as the Australian federal police confirmed it had ended all contracts with PwC as of 30 June over a possible conflict of interest perception.
