Andy Farrell is expected to be named next month as the British & Irish Lions head coach for the 2025 tour of Australia after the IRFU gave its blessing for him to accept the role.
Farrell has signed a contract extension to remain Ireland’s head coach until the 2027 World Cup with the IRFU saying it would be ‘ecstatic’ if he also takes charge of the Lions.
