Daniil Medvedev became the first player through to the semi-finals in Turin with a 7-6 (7), 6-4 win over Germany’s Alexander Zverev. With a perfect record of two wins and not a set dropped, Medvedev is guaranteed to advance from the Red Group, while Zverev can still qualify thanks to his opening match win against Carlos Alcaraz, who hit back with a win over Andrey Rublev. Alcaraz plays Medvedev while Zverev takes on Rublev in Friday’s final games in the group.
