Foreign minister Penny Wong has urged restraint to protect civilians in Gaza as israeli forces continued their response to the surpriase attack by Hamas militants on Saturday, Australian Associated Press reports.
But Wong, but did not weigh in on whether restraint should be exercised by Tel Aviv when it came to a blockade of Gaza that could restrict access to food and medicine.
