Former Brisbane Lions AFL player Aaron Shattock has been praised by former teammates as he remains in an induced coma following a freak accident involving heavy machinery over the weekend.
The 44-year-old was crushed by an excavator when it rolled over while working on his own property on the Gold Coast. He underwent emergency surgery on Sunday for severe chest injuries and will remain under observation in coming days.
