How many signs and symptoms of menopause are there? There are over 40 – including hot flushes, brain fog, disrupted sleep and joint stiffness. But for women in perimenopause – the years leading up to menopause – the first symptom that is typically experienced is irregular periods.
The good news is that you are unlikely to experience every one of the 40-plus signs and symptoms. However, it is important to understand your own body and what is considered normal for you and to be able to identify when you may need additional support for your wellbeing.
