Estonian says she can no longer compete at highest levelNext month’s Wimbledon will be 27-year-old’s final outing
Anett Kontaveit, who was ranked No 2 in the world last year, has announced she will retire from tennis after a final outing at Wimbledon next month due to a chronic back injury.
The 27-year-old Estonian said on Tuesday the degenerative condition has made it impossible for her to continue to compete at the highest level and she will be forced into early retirement.
