Former Bristol flanker to join camp for autumn TestsEl-Abd will combine duties with Oyonnax role this season
The former Bristol and Toulon flanker Joe El-Abd has been confirmed as the replacement for Felix Jones as England defence coach. The Rugby Football Union announced El-Abd’s appointment, taking over from Jones, who surprised the governing body when he resigned in August.
The 44-year-old will be in place for the autumn Tests and Six Nations this season, combining his role as rugby director at Oyonnax. He will then the French second division club and go full-time with England.
