Jos Buttler will step down as England white-ball captain after a Champions Trophy campaign that ended with a third successive group stage exit at a global tournament.
The 34-year-old will lead the team for the last time when their campaign in Pakistan ends against South Africa in Karachi on Saturday. Buttler, who succeeded Eoin Morgan in 2022 and won the T20 World Cup later that year, intends to continue as a player.
