Running in from the right, the 20-year-old elite development squad captain collected a Matheus Nunes ball and, from a tight angle, smashed past Omri Glazer. It sent Hamilton into ecstasy and racing for a corner of the Rajko Mitic Stadium, where the boy from Crumpsall, who joined the club as an under-nine, was mobbed by Nunes, Rico Lewis, Kalvin Phillips and the other stellar names in City’s XI.
