Man charged with public order offence at AnfieldKian Holt will appear before magistrates in January
Nine men have been arrested following reports of tragedy chanting at the Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday.
Merseyside Police confirmed the nine, from Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire, were arrested at Anfield. A 28-year-old man from Prestwich was also arrested on suspicion of common assault. Kian Holt, 19, of Medlar-with-Wesham in Lancashire has been charged with a public order offence under the Football Offence Act 1991, namely tragedy chanting. He is due to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court on 8 January.
