Ireland’s national broadcaster suspends Dee Forbes and apologises for what it says was a betrayal of trust
Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, has suspended its director general over hidden payments of €345,000 (£295,000) to a star television and radio presenter, Ryan Tubridy.
The board suspended Dee Forbes on Wednesday, RTÉ said in a terse statement on Friday.
