Hosted at the Freedom Park (Old Colonial Prison), in Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬, in West Africa, the event featured a range of exciting activities and services for families preparing for the upcoming school season. From free backpacks filled with essential school supplies to haircuts, free food, museum tours, games, entertainment, and painting activities, the event aimed to alleviate some of the financial burdens that can come with getting ready for school.
Parents and students alike expressed their gratitude for the back-to-school giveaway. Sarah Oluwaseyi, a mother of three, said, “I can’t thank the organizers and volunteers enough for this event. It’s been a challenging year, and this help means the world to us. My kids are excited to start school with all the supplies they need.”
The event not only supplied students with tangible resources but also fostered a sense of togetherness and community pride. It served as a reminder that, when people come together with a common goal, positive change is possible.
Volunteers, the backbone of such initiatives, worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly. Their dedication and enthusiasm created a welcoming atmosphere, where families felt valued and supported.
