New South Wales premier Chris Minns is returning to the region at the centre of Australia’s deadliest crash in decades as the government mulls stricter seatbelt laws and the local community reels from the tragedy.
Ten people died in the crash following a wedding in the Hunter region on Sunday, including at least five members of the local Singleton Roosters football club. Another 13 people remain in hospital, including two in a critical but stable condition, NSW Health said on Tuesday evening.
