Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to FC Bayern Munich, a result which saw them eliminated from the Champions League. The defeat means that the Red Devils will play no part in European competition for the remainder of this season. Ten Hag blamed the result partly on the loss of ‘players who are very decisive for [their] game and who can make the difference’ although he added that it wasn’t an excuse. The manager was optimistic however, adding ‘there’s still many things to play for. And now we can focus, of course, on the Premier League’.
